Daily Bible Bread is a free Internet program, in the form of a Java applet, for all Christians who can access the Web using a browser.
The program is a daily calendar that displays for each day a different Biblical text, taken from the midday prayer of the Taizé Community. In addition, it displays the feast of the day in the General Roman Calendar and also the Bible readings used in the Holy Masses in the Catholic Church.
The major purposes of the production of Daily Bible Bread are:
to stimulate interest in the reading of the Scriptures;
to promote awareness of the feast days in the General
Roman Calendar;
to provide a free program for Christians through
the exciting Internet technology; and
to let people have fun!
